Here are the moves that were made this week…I like ‘em…
First off, I think I grabbed the steal of the year since I picked Fausto Carmona off of early waivers before his second start. I dropped Matt Jones, and I picked-up Antaawn Randle-El from the Redskins.
After grabbing 6 receptions for over 155 yards, I’m thinking that I can get some serious mileage with Randle-El. However, with Holt, Wayne, and Andre Johnson in the line-up, where am I going to put him?…Trade anyone?
With that said, I made only other significant move for the McCauley Street Mongols.
I dropped Defensive Lineman, Derrick Burgess, of the Oakland Raiders, and picked up rookie phenom MLB, Patrick Willis. One Ole Miss alum for another, I was disappointed with Burgess’s 1 point performance from a solo tackle.
I shouldn’t be too upset with Burgess because the Raiders were playing the pass-happy Lions. Yet, after watching Willis’s performance against the Cardinals on Monday night, I’m sold.
I’m even more enamored with the fact that former Bear and Hall of Famer, Mike Singletary, is the mentor and running the linebackers for the Niners. Willis is happy. The Niners are happy…If you’re in a league that calls for defense, this article from Tom Fitzgerald of SFGate should make you happy.
Willis’s performance of 9 Tackles and a forced fumble pushed me over the edge. He’s starting this week on my defensive side with Sean Jones, Lofa Tatupu, London Fletcher, and Karlos Dansby.
Now, what will I do with Larry Johnson this week against the Bears…? I just don’t know about him…I just don’t know.
In my B-League, I dropped Matt Jones (Yeah, I really bought hard on the thought Matt Jones would break-out this season) for Titan RB veteran, Chris Brown, who galloped for 175 yards last Sunday. Using him as the replacement for Brandon Jacobs, who is supposedly out for at least 6 weeks, I’m thrilled…Now, can Brown stay healthy, and what will they do against the Colts this week?
Movin’,
